Mr. Kantanat Rattanawik, assistant coordinator of the Southern Alcohol-Free Network, said that a joint survey conducted with the provincial education officer in 63 schools in 18 districts found that out of more than 1,900 students aged 13-15 in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, 38.2 percent had drunk beer, 8.2 percent had smoked marijuana, 5.7 percent had smoked kratom, and 2.1 percent had drunk alcohol. The shocking figures were 89.7 percent had drunk until they were drunk and 10.3 percent had lost control of their senses.
